Default best new truggy?

i know this is a loaded question, but, i am gettin back into racing this summer and wanted to know what is the best new truggy, engine, radio, and servos coming out this year? i know i will get a ton of different answers, but, that is why i am asking. is the mugen mbx6t still a viable option? i have owned mugens and x-rays b4, and am leaning toward the 6t. i used to have m-11 radio and used hitec 5755's for steering and throttle. just wanting to know if those are still good items to use. thanks all in advance for your input.

I would go with mugen on the truggy, futaba 4pks on the radio and hitec 7955 on the servos. That stuff is all top notch equipment.

The 6T is most definatley still viable and keep in mind Serpent will be out with their S811-T the first of the year, hopefully. This should be a fast fast truck with very little concern for issues since its all been fixed with the buggy. Probably cant go wrong with either Futaba or Airtronics, I really like my 4pk. As far as servos the 7955s are great but I would save myself some money and get the Hobbico cs-170 its the same servo for alot less. I have two I have ran for a while and they were used when I got them!

thanks guys,i am gonna go with the 6t and either futaba or airtronics for radio and the 7955's. is the v-spec still a good engine or is there something better? i like the novarossi's, but not sure if they are better than v-specs. is the vspec still dieing out after a few gallons or have the bearings all been revamped? Brian, thanks for the headsup with the servos, i'll deffinately check them out!!

Yeah i would still buy a MBX6T, if you can wait the Serpent and Durango might be worth looking at...

but you can get the 6T for less than 500$ now

and 7955 on the servos

futabas are known to over heat, esspicially in hotter weather, i know they are really bad here in GA in the summer, seen alot of people not have good luck with them but it may be other issues but IDK. IMO you cant really beat the airtronics M11x radio. but it all what you want.

also there is a new "V-spec" out now, XZ supposedly its better but IMO they are about the same. ive the XZ cheaper than the V-spec on most sites.

I just started running a 6t and I absolutely love it. It handles like a dream. I have driven Losi cars for thenlast 3 yrs and the 6t just works well. I have also just started driving the Durango buggy and I can't wait for the truggy. I will definatly pick up the dnx truggy too the durango quality is 2nd to none.

For a radio the futaba 4pk is nice but I love my ko eurus radio and the ko rsx servos are the smoothest but there's nothing wrong with hitec hv servos either.

For engine there's only one choice. The xz speed

It all depends in your budget but if it's not an issue then 6t, ko radio and servos and xz speed power

Glad to see that you are liking the 6T Frank. I have thought about switching to it or the new Caster truggy. Anyone with info on the Caster truggy?

The Losi,Mugen and Hot Bodies seem to be the hot ticket right now. I suppose were all aware of newer trucks coming, I don't see much change in them from where we are right now. For us club racers, any truggy will do.

I looked at a truggy about 2 months back and the mbx6t mspec was the only truggy that was winning in my area if you cant beat them join them so thats what I got, I am sure that it is still up there with the best if not the best available option at the moment, I used a discount voucher from tower hobbies and got it for under $500 which allowed me to get a very good engine, also its factory built so I saved a heap of time there and I am very very happy with it

I'm new to the 1/8 scale nitro truggy scene and just got the 8ight 2.0 after always owning a losi in the 1/10 scale elec off road scene, I thought it was amazing and still do, but afterwards I saw a Mugen MBX6-T...My first impression was wow, however I've yet to see the performance differences between these 2 designs on the track, it's something I look forward to perhaps at the next big race. Th Mugen definitly looks the better build with all that carbon fiber.

I just got a Losi Eight-T 2.0, but I saw the Mugen MBX6-T only after I had made my purchase and was VERY impressed...the build looks much more solid however I've yet to see what my Eight-T can do and still haven't seen a Mugen in action either...I think both should be equally competitive.
