Default WHICH HINPINS ON KYOSHO ST-RR(E-CLIPS SUCK)

hey guys i was wondering what is the alternative to hingepins because i really do not wanna 45$ on hinpins but if i have to i will.I hate these e-clips and want something else.I just wanna know which other ones work because i want something with a screw type hingepin like jammin or kyosho which uses a lock not to hold them in.Please let me know as i'm currently rebuilding the truck at the moment.

I run the K Factory captured on the carrier side but I don't run a nut on the front lower a arm pin. I run the King Head lower block and capture the pin with a grub screw only, makes for a quicker a arm change. On the rear I use M2C blocks with bushings and tapered hinge pins.

I remember, that is my son. Good to see you getting a truck together. The RR is awesome. Let us know if we can help, we will be at the Assylum on the weekend after New Years.

The gears last a long time, the cases I just keep an eye on and it varies. If there is sloppy movement in the pinion bearings or diff cup bearings I change them.

so if i race once in a while than how long do you think, because i really like the look of the truck but do not want diff failures. Is there a way to prevent it by buying the new mp9 cases or is that it?

K factory for me also, just make sure you dont overtight the nuts, they have to move freely, i add a drop of blue locktite just to keep things safe.

about the gears/ diffs, i take them apart after each race and reshim if needed. still no gears issues after 3 gallons!

cheers

Ali

people are saying these trucks have diff issues and that the cases are the weak point of the truck.

k factory

keep your diffs properly shimmed , do not adjust in too much brake and you should be good
