Default Factory driver sponsor deals???

Hey all: With the off seasons "hot stove" so to speak like mlb has heating up it looks like most of the top drivers are getting only one or two year deals with lets say a vehicle/engine/fuel company especially in 1/8th off road. Is this because the drivers want to be able to evaluate their year and move on if the performance isn't there or are manufacturers just being cautious in how much more they have locked up in a driver especially considering that r/c racing is such a small part of the whole r/c industry? Thanks for the info

Default

Probably a little of both.

Drivers want the option to bail if they are not treated right, etc... or if they find out that they cannot drive the perspective car.

Companies need to see if the addition of a team guy increases sales whether it is a 50 off guy or if it is Tebo or Drake.

Of course, the economy is not very good and the industry is 100% discretionary income based. That probably has a big effect from the company side.
