Default 8ight Clutch Help needed

I am running an 8ight 2.0 on a small/medium indoor track. I am running an all plastic shoe set-up with green springs which was suggested to me by some pretty fast guys but they run a motor with less power. My V-spec lights up the tires constantly with it. An M2C setup was suggested to me also to fix this. It was a setup with heavy shoes and light springs to smooth out the power. Before i try that i want to see if i can accomplish the same thing with the losi setup. Does anyone have a goodsetup for smooth power delivery. The track doesn't have any big jumps either so i don't need hard acceleration. I am an electric racer mostly too, so i am used to smooth.

regards,

Christopher

I like a smoother clutch setup too. I run all alum with 2 black and 2 green springs. If you like the plastic shoes try the black/green springs or put 2 alum shoes on the green springs. This way the clutch is softer and 2 shoes engage before the other 2 shoes. They way you have it now they all hit at the same time and snap the car.

The aluminum shoes are heaver and will engage at low rpm, but since they stick more, will they be snappier or will they help slow the engines power build up?

Christopher

The alum shoes will grab harder and be snappier but those blk springs will smooth things out. Give it a shot.
