That's a tough question. Since the plural of Buggy is Buggies, I would say the plural of Truggy should be Truggies.

As for the OP, why ask a stupid question? Truggies are one of the most popular classes right now, why not buy a truggy? They're fast, fun and have some great racing.

Why do some people buy Ford and not Chev ?? That's another dumb question for y'all

..Buy what you like and don't worry about why the 'other guy' bought something you don't like If all you're worried about is getting respect from people, go be a doctor. People don't really care what you like to drive, because they like their own gear better.

I guess i just race for fun and not respect. Makes life alittle easier to digest if i'm not constantly seeking the approval of others

i race truggy because i feel i have a better chance of winning. the truggy is so easy to drive that anyone can do it and have good luck. it seems that every race i go to there are several truggy drivers that are capable of winning, but at the same races there are only 2-3 buggy racers that always stand out. if you have excellent reactions and concentration, i say get a buggy and go get them. if you are just average and want to have a chance, get a truggy and go have FUN!!

Because truggy is now the biggest class at most of the races I go to.

Because my race buddy and pitman races buggy.

Because I was looking for something new after racing buggy for 5 years.

Because truggy is more fun to drive.

straight up silliness if i do say so myself

practice the track with the buggy and just go out to make sure the truck engine is tuned in , truggy is easy , its suspension is way plush and tires are huge in comparison to buggy which = truggy handles rough tracks WAY better , which = more fun !!!

Truggy = Buggy For Beginners

Seriously though, I found racing truggy was good fun if there were decent numbers at the meeting and if there were quite a few decent drivers as you could have some real good, close racing without having to worry about falling over on a really blown out track....however, recently, due to numbers falling, your just end up racing against the same guys all the time and it gets a bit boring...especially when it is a struggle to fill a heat. I mean, what is the point in qualifying as you all end up in the same final for just turning up... you may qualify 1st and then just get taken out by someone who has qualified last and thinks it is the norm to bulldoze everyone in the first corner, or they just take you out when you're lapping them! At least if there are a decent number of entries you have a chance of getting away from some of them... I think truggy driving gets a bad name for this and isn't as well respected, together with the fact that setup doesn't seem to matter so much as they are more forgiving and easy to drive...but it can be good fun!

Buggy racing is more challenging because you are competing against more people and more rewarding when you do well... The club I usually race at gets around 70+ buggy entries, compared to truggy which stuggled to get 10...

i disagree, with that i raced in sportsman truggy and there was about 10 of them and all of us were really close in laps and lap times.

yea some tracks might.. stuggle with turnouts for truggy but i think it depends on how where you live at and how ecomony is your state is maybe.

and how the tracks are also if its rough i think you will see there is more truggys at certain tracks and smooth tracks it might be more buggy maybe.

i run at buggy for one season and i dont like it to much on a rough track and being on the edge every lap.

and the truggy class i ran this year there wasnt the same people there everytime. there were a couple of locals and than mixed

But you are talking about your sportman class....don't you have 3 levels? We don't have classes within classes so our truggy class would be a mix of say sportsman, intermediate and expert so there can be quite a difference in ability...

I race truggy and buggy because I hate just having one and wishing I had the other. I like having them both over just one or the other. They are both equally fun if you ask me....
