Default Reuse or Retire?

Do you grab a screw, inspect the head, and if it's used find a new one.. or use it anyway? Wheels.. are you always getting fresh rims with your rubber, or reusing your wheels?

If the hex is sloppy on a screw for a metal to metal connection, I'll grab a new one. If it's a screw going into plastic, I'll re-use it. If the threads are stripped or damaged, I'll replace.

I just started dipping used rims in acetone, reusing foams, and gluing new tires. Saves a some money and now I have fresh rubber at every race. I used to run my tires until they were almost bald because I felt guilty (i get bad buyers remorse). Now that I've been gluing, I stick to the track and no more remorse for throwing away used tires.
