Nope.

Stick with 6s if you want to go fast.

You are comparing apples to oranges here. Any buggy out there with a brushless conv will be able to compete with the revo and if you run both on a track the buggy will have better timing with the same driver 'cause its designed that way.

No offroad RTR that I know of is that fast.

There is an onroad RTR that can out speed the RTR revo bl.

Are you looking to just be able to go fast in a straight line or to you want to be fast at a track?

Buggys aren't generally that fast, at least not in the terms you are talking. Buggys are built to be raced on a track. They fly effortlessly and corner with authority. They handle bumps with ease and just flat out fly around a track. But that same buggy in a parking lot won't look so impressive. Imo speed is way overrated. Sure it fun to brag, but how far will that get you? The real fun is in competition and racing, those are real bragging rights. And for that you need a race ready buggy. Top end probably won't be over 35-40mph as there is no 2 speed transmission to make it go any faster, but at the same time the buggy will be quicker getting from 0-30+ mph due to not having extra weight and moving parts. So you are ultimately left with the decision of what appeals to you. Flat out top speed = something with 2 speed tranny, everything else = race buggy.

No nitro offroad buggy or truggy is going to keep up with a brushless Revo in a straight line race (if it is running balls out on 6s) unless you build your own brushless truggy or buggy. It won't happen with a nitro under any circumstances no matter how much you spend or who mods the engine.

Your only hope is a nitro touring car but that really isn't an apples to apples race at that point.
