The wce drive shafts are a 1mm longer. I use 3/4 inch shrink tubing on mine. You never have to worry about losing a pin. I use the shrink tube from home depot its very thick.

I ran 98mm droop on the front of my car, its close to the end of te outdrive never popped out. With it set at 102 mm it was too close for comfort. The car seemed fine with the less amount of droop though, and the track i ran was pretty rough. Shrink tube the cvd pins and make sure the flat spot is against the set screw and it should be fine.

I'm kind of wanting to play with a different chassis and wondering if anyone has tried the BCE, Fioroni or Teckno? If so, which one and what did you think about it?

I have been running Hot Bodies for almost 2 years now and have never even seen this happen. Not to mention there are more than 5 people at my local track and they have never had this happen. I hear so many people say this but I just havent ever seen it.

I've tried the 3 HB chassis (3mm LW, 4mm LW, 4mm stock), Fioroni 3mm chassis, Tekno 4mm, and BCE and the HB 3mm LW and Fioroni 3mm are the two that worked the best for me.

thanks Jesse! I'll just soften up the shocks to compensate for the weight loss. A properly setup light car is faster than a properly setup heavy car.

Also, the team driver set ups we see, are they all using the light weight chassis?
I would say the big difference between the Hara chassis and the orginal D8 would be the thickness...The original chassis is 4mm and the Hara is 3mm...

The thicker chassis would not flex as much and possibly be more difficult to run on a rough track....the more that the chassis is able to flex the easier it will be to drive on a blown out track...All in my experience...

They have been out of stock for a while now. A shipment of parts is expected next week, not sure if WCE shafts are in there..
