Default losi shock mod

i keep hearing about this shock mod. is it the same as the rc8, with taking out the bladder and puting foam in the top with a small hole in the shock cap? what size of hole and how thick of foam?

not sure what size whole but you still use the bladders. The foam goes between the bladders and the shock cap.

Here you go. If you have to save it to your desk top and then zoom in on it when you open it

the only thing I have heard that you can do different is use foam instead of CA gluing the o rings to the top of the cap

yeah, i really don't want to drill holes in my really expensive alum shock caps.

might consider some plastics for this mod. if i don't like it, go back to my OE alum caps. hrmm..

this is my opinion, but consider a lot of people love this mod.

I didnt like the mod, it made both my buggy and truggy not land off a jump or handle the bumps as well. in truggy it was as noticeable but i could still tell. In buggy i hated it, i ended up having to change suspension set up(oils and springs) to settle it back down. I recently bought a new buggy and truggy and i have not and will not mod the caps and they feel a lot more planted. Now the mod does its job, it keeps the ride height consistent as well as rebound.

i just picked up a losi EU to test and this has the mod already done at the factory.

i used mike truhe's setup from the 08 worlds, big pistons front silvers, small rear green.

i didnt have any losi oil so used edit oil,40f,25r and the car lands like a wet rag in custard

it never double bounces and is super thru the bumps.

i built with only 5mm of rebound tho and it seems perfect.
