I have 2 of the Nitro SC8 trucks. They are a ton of fun to drive. Fast, handle well and tough as nails. No need to look any further then the Associated trucks

Only problem is that I never see a class for them and I think it's cause only 1 company makes them.

Arn't they all 1/8th scale? Just throw a Slash/SC10/Blitz/SC8/..... body over your 8th buggy. It will fit wheelbase and lentgh wise.

The SC* body will not fir over a 1/8 buggy..the SC8 uses the RC8T chassis, so the wheelbase is longer than the 1/10 scale trucks.

that is false. A buddy of mine used a truggy front and rear shock tower and used a short course body on a losi 8ight , he still raced in the buggy class but it was cool as hell to watch,

No, the mans statement is true. The SC8 body is
longer and wider than the bodys used on the 1/10
based SC trucks. Some of the wider 1/10 SC based
truck bodies work great on a 1/8 buggy.
The SC8 body is one big mutha and you have to
run a truggy chassis with buggy suspension.
I built my I/8 nitro SC truck using a Jammin X-1 CR buggy
and a Jammin X-2 CRT truggy chassis. The 1/8 nitro SC
trucks are bad ass and alot of fun on a big dirt oval too.

I'd take Nids word for it since he built a SC8 out of his old buggy and a spare truggy this year.

Nid, like me, has been trying to get more people we
know to buy or build 1/8 nitro SC trucks. I love running
nitro engines and can't bring myself to run a 1/8 flashlight.
IMO the only lipo in a 1/8 scale should be the receiver battery.
I just read a thread where a guy said he was running a SC8
body on his DM-1 Pro on-road. I think an 1/8 GT truck would
turn some heads, Damn, now I gotta buy another SC8 body
for my DM-1 Pro too.
