Default Why are Nitro Chassis bent

I have always wondered why on Nitro Chassis. Why are the Chassis bent in the front and rear where the front and rear bulkheads mount.

i think the reason for the bent on the front is for kickup.

im not too sure about the rear !...as most cars ive seen have a flat rear!...but the front is to give the car a stock caster angle!

well on a hb only the front is and im guessing just adds more roll the the chassis instead of flat. I know theres a reason to it but cant really think right now.

what beats me is how do u bend the rear of it. Either ur take a really okward hard landing or u were sitting in straight and another car plows you, which i have seen resulting in bending of chassis and breaking stuff but i never heard of bend to where it has a lil lip.

The rear shouldn't be bent on any 1/8 chassis. The front is bent for the kickup.

i've seen i saw someone running one with it that way the chassis brace fell off and they ran it and it bent, of course.

There it is i knew it haha brain fart. It also helps landing in some ways if you land on front wheels. There are actually many reasons its there for just run em lol.

Talking Bent REAR??

Hmm. I have the following:

Mugen Super Athelete
Mugen MBX-4 XR
Mugen MBX5
Mugen MBX6

Mugen MBX5T
Mugen MBX6T

I don't think any of these are bent in the rear??

1. It's called kickup
2. I bet is has to do with not stabbing the chassis into the ground when braking or when landing on a jump. helps to keep the lawn dart effect from happening when driving normally. Allows you to skim over things and not get hung up.

Hmm. Sounds pretty good huh??

Its so the chassis doesn't catch on the incline of a jump and decrease your speed entering the jump. It allows you to run the whole chassis lower, thus lowering the center of gravity. If it was straight you'd have the raise the front end or the entire chassis in order to not catch or drag on the front of some jumps, which would allow it to have more speed on the jump and improve its overall leaping abilities.
