Default 8ight-T Spindle Mod

I just ran across some pics integra posted about an aluminum spindle mod for the 8T. My question is how well does this work and has anyone here performed it on their spindles? I'm looking for more steering throw on my truggy and figured this would be a good way of achieving those results. Any thoughts?

This is only needed for the INCLINED spindles/carriers. It does give you more steering throw. With the standard aluminum spindles, it is not needed. It can also be done with the stock plastic spindles.
