it's all good... I feel a little bad because Cody's camber link screw came out in the semi while he was trying to get around Maifield for the lead. If I didn't make that mistake, we might be talking about Cody right now. I guess I tried to do too much late at night and made a mistake when I was tired, but I really feel bad about it. Our truck was really good on that track...

moral to the story... check every screw before a run at ROAR or IFMAR event

Wow, sucks to hear that. Cody always looks fast and his gear great! But hey, at least a teammate won right?

That is some good advice.

As for the topic, I think there are many great truggies on the market today. People have different driving styles and preferences so they have different favorites. When setup properly pretty much any of them can win when in the right hands.

it's true, so many cars to choose from, and they are all pretty good

I'm just playing around in here anyway, these "which one do you like" threads always amuse me because every fan boy comes in and preaches "cha-ching"... consider my two cents delivered

Hehe. Hay, I'm one of those fan boys. Consider my 3 cents delivered. Yeah that's right 3 cents!

dizzam... I can't believe you gave more cent than I did, cheater!

This is actually getting me all philosophical about the truggy class, reflecting on all the work on the STRR. From Cody's win at Nitro Challenge in 2007, the many different wins for the truck in the hands of Cavalieri and Maifield when they were driving it in '08/'09, to Jared winning the 2010 Nats. Cody had back to back Nats podiums with it in '07/'08... it's been a pretty good run.

I just wanted a few opinions. I KNOW they will be biased but there is usually a grain of truth even in a lie. I just take it with a grain of salt and try to find that spec of truth in all the BS. What else am I gonna do I don't know many other people n the hobby.

Besides, I just enjoy discussing the hobby. Whether it helps or not. I bet someone found something useful in here. I did!

Why X-ray Liquid? What are the pro's and con's of it over another brand?

these opinion on truggy/buggy threads are kinda pointless IMO everyone has their favorite brand and arent open to anything but what they run and they think its best. im personally very happy with my O'donnell truggy, and not a fan of losi (cant drive them fast for some reason ) or xray (couldn't afford one even if i wanted one ) or RC8T (just not my driving style)... its all preference, i liked my D8T alot, won many races with it but i got to a point where i wasnt getting any faster so it was time for upgrades and i just didnt want to upgrade it (i was still winning with it but my lap times just werent getting faster). i liked mugen, they handle great and fit my driving style but once again to much money and when i ran someone else, i twisted an axil and the rear diff started to skip a tooth and i was scared to break a arm (only crashed twice all day with it). then i switch to Odonnell and havent looked back, it fits me really good, and its super durable and just super easy to work on. it turn to good at times and the harder you drive it the better it handles.

now dont get me wrong, im not hatin on any truggy but just saying how it is for me, all the big name truggies are great just put them on a dart board and throw a dart and see which one you hit and go with it, or just pick which one you like most. try driving each and see which one fits you best. i like O'donnell best and say you should look at them too. but all the truggies are great these days.... and BTW O'donnell is coming out with a new truggy very soon and IMO i think youll be seeing more of them once they come out
