Default Ofna Ultra LX-One???

I am thinking of buying an Ofna Ultra LX-One RTR. I would like some feedback from the gurus on whether this is a good choice or not. I am looking at upgrades, if needed, and whether it is a good car for some off road racing with friends...stuff like that. I have a Jato right now and it is great...it just doesn't grab the dirt like I would like it to. Opinions are welcome...thanks.

Hyper 7 Tq black will be something more into the racing feel without dropping big bucks if it's your 1st 1/8th buggy, built like a tank but to make it track worhty get some decent upgrade servos RTR stuff just doesn't handle well on track.

thanks for all the input. I noticed the price difference between the Ofna and the Losi 8 and was wondering if it was worth even messing with.

You guys are great! Thanks again.

I really like the look of the Mugen, but I can't talk the "finance manager"...errr...wife into putting that much into a unit all at once. Aren't they a little more expensive than the Ofna? Another thing is that the LHS doesn't carry any parts, so that means waiting for parts from the 'net.

Get the losi 8ight-2.0 rtr buggy. It has so much included it is a hard to beat price. They give a race platform,.21 engine,bumpbox,dx3s radio and so much more. You might see a noticable difference in price but there is a reason.

The losi has the all of the future upgrades you'll do to any other buggy in the future.

Totally agree, the servos are not that great and this is a 2006 buggy.

By far the best bet. You might pay more up front, but buy all of this stuff new with a roller. Lots saved. Competative right out of the box.

AND the motor can be converted to a turbo head motor with the turbo head conversion kit that only costs around 20$ i believe and get the re-11 pipe to make the engine roar and get good mileage.plugs might be a little more than others regular plugs but the added performance is worth it.

Kman,
I see what you're saying and I agree that the Losi would be the superior way to go. I just don't have quite the budget to handle the Losi right now. Is the Jammin that much different?
