I think the right choice is going to depend on your driving style. The Losi rewards a driver with finese while the Mugen tends to seem to like being driven hard.

This is a social hobby and its all about direct contact...direct contact with people socially through racing and other venues. Without direct contact at the retail level it looses the very foundation it sits on. I am in sales professionally and Internet driven retail markets have zero social value.
Sorry to hear your local shop has a jerk working the counter. I probably wouldn't return either. But...if we didn't have so much product being dumped for rock bottom prices on the Internet the RC retail market as a whole would be stronger.

+1...I drive a losi and I have a smoother style after driving touring cars for 12 yrs and drivers at my track that really drive aggressivly dont like the Losi as much.
