get what most run at your track, so you can have some support.
Dont get the Cobra, unless you have some mod skills

yea there nice but try to find anybody in the northeast at club races that drive one is very hard to find any. its losi, associated, hb, mugen really.

i do like the tamiya 1/8 buggy/truggy though.

i agree, espailly if your a beginner but really who wants to be the same as everybody else. as you know here in the northeast you will find people with hb d8t and d8s im really looking at the d8t next season and i drive a losi eight-t.

but if your track is just losi and associated mainly than i do agree to just run them so you can get help on setups etc.

I like the Losi 2.0 due to easy access to setups and parts.

Do not overlook the new O'Donnell buggy, it is REALLY good.

I agree, unless your LHS, only carries Traxxas parts. Of course some guys are converting 4x4 slashes to 1/8 buggies.. One guy at my Local track did, and it handles really well, and he is only running a 2s set up, and it is just as quick as the nitros.. And weighs alot less..

Anyway point being, you should run what the majority of racers are running or considering running.. Even if LHS/Track doesn't have parts, maybe they will, and R/C racers are always willing to lend parts..

only if its the WC edition, mp9 shocks. or its not worth the money for the other out there these days.

i own a eight 2.0 and a xray 808, for tracks with heaps of jumps the eight for sure is on top, but for everything else the Xray is hands down the best bang for buck, quality is the best on the market too...

I know a couple of friends running that new Odonnell. It looks like an awesome platform. They actually had to take some steering out because it turned so well.

The parts quality on a Mugen is awesome. I have over $300.00 of spare parts and have used all of about $20.00 worth on two buggy's that run nearly every week.

Just pick the one really want and don't settle because one is cheaper than the other unless the one you really want is cheaper. I have found that you are really not going to be happy and will always find excuses if you don't buy the one you really want.

NO, you get what you pay for. If you want to buy used gear now is the time, there is a lot of pro's and fast drivers that sell there cars now. Johnnyboy from Canada a Kyosho sponsored driver is selling is MP9's as rollers for $300.00 each and they are mint, one e-power the other nitro.
