Default Probably a dumb question about bodies but...

Does anyone make a Short course style body that fits a 1/8 buggy with minor mods?

I'm talking one that encloses wheels completely?

My LHS has like 3 bodies on the shelves and they are all for on-road or 1/10.

Not looking for any specific class for racing, but the wife likes the looks of the desert racers....and a little more plastic cannot hurt as she could break an anvil with a rubber hammer

That would make for some bad wheel rubbing imo. Not to mention it would look really aweful. Can you imaging a wing on the back of a short course body? I shudder at the idea

Well, one of the mods would be taking the wing off of course

yes, the 1/10 scale short course bodies wil fit the 1/8 buggy. you have to make custom mounts. DE racing makes short course wheels with a 17mm hub for this purpose. Heres a pic of my mugen i converted a while ago, old pics so it doesn't have the short course wheels but you get the idea

You sir should be arrested! That is a crime. I propose a jury trial. Seriously just buy a short course truck, they are 1/2 the price of any decent buggy.

They are 1/2 price of the buggy bought and paid for?

Do you study at the Washington school of Economics?

Don't use what you already own, buy new.

Wow. Cut the prozac in half next time.

If it keeps the wife happy, why not do it?

JW is a stand up guy to me. I think that was taken out of context...

By all means... it's your hobby do what you want with it! As long as it's fun that's all that matters!
