keep em and buy new, I only remount rims that are in near perfect condition, when the outer lip of the rim starts to get chewed up, they just dont mount the same as new ones.

X2 Better to just go all new. Proline molded foams break down too much to re-use them. They're a lot better than the old gray foams, but still not like an AKA foam. Buy new.

I haven't ran a set enough to really toast out the foams, what do they do, just go soft of physically start to break down ? ?

They just soften up. They don't break down like the old ones did, but they do get very soft.
