Default Carburetor Question -A quick answer ..

Hi guys i want a little help with my problem ..
I own a novarossi plus4 engine at my last race i had problem with my carburetor the LSN it doesnt move neither clockwise neither anticlockwise so after much force on the LSN finnaly it was moving BUT after this my slide it doesnt moved freely so i tear down the carburetor and i see that the slide have a protuberance( a bend point at the point that the idle needle goes inside) so the carb body inside had some scratches .
I have no money to get a full new carb so i will buy the carb body, the LSN and the slide ...i had found all my parts BUT now amainhobbies has no the carb body and i cant found it at other stores .. i have soon race so i want to fix it .. I deside to buy only a new slide and the LSN ... i try from a friend a othe plus 4 slide at my carb body and it moves freely . but my question is if i buy new slide and keep the scratch carb body i will have problem with the tuning ?it will keep high rpm?it will flame out?
Sorry for my bad english
And thanks

First off, go to the track and ask around for a carb. Anyone that has run Nova motors for a while is bound to have a carb or two laying around. I know I have several. Also, in a pinch, OS carbs will fit and work great too.

Second, what happened is you overtightened the little setscrew that holds the position of the ball arm for the throttle linkage. This makes it almost impossible to turn the LSN. By forcing it, you dinged the slot that the idle stop screw rides in. Never tighten down hard on that setscrew.

thanks for the info but i didn't think this scenario ..thanks ..
But this ball arm i never touch it except the first time when i receive the engine i change the position and i tighten this ball arm.. anyway i can use the same body carb? if i put new slide all is ok it can move inside and outside ..the scratces inside at the body are small the didn't stop the slide(if is new and not the old)

Yes you should be able to use your old carb body but why bother? Used Nova and OS carbs are a dime a dozen. If you are in a hurry and low on money, just ask around. Somebody out there has to have one they will give you or sell for cheap. If you were in the US, I would send you a complete one right now for 10 bucks but shipping to greece could be a bit expensive.
