Honestly, Look inito the HiTec 7940 w/ Lipo.

440oz/.13 Speed and Ti Gears. It's a little more $$ than a regular servo, but it can take the abuse.

I think you mean the 7950, I think the 7940 is 181oz/.07.

My take on a truggy steering servo is anything digital > 200oz wins.

Hittec 7955, 7950
Ace DS1015

Last one I bought was a 7955 since I don't use a lipo reciever battery, and even if I did my receiver won't take direct lipo. I have a 7950 in my other truck but the extra money I spent to handle the higher voltage was a waste.

from my understanding the 7955 will take direct higher voltage too.

Take a look a Savox. They are now available at Amain and I have been running the same one unregulated for over a year. NO Issues!!!

At the moment I have a 7940TH in there (.06 220 oz w/lipo). No issues at all.

I have a lot of friends running those Savox servos, and they seem exceptional and are more then worth the money.

Only thing I have an issue with is warrenty, not sure how they are on that. No one has broken one yet which is a good sign. I would go this route if you wanted to go for a cheaper servo.

You should read thru the thread Arco linked at the top that was started by me about a month ago. It has a lot of good suggestions in it. That thread is how I decided. I went Hitec 7955 plenty of torque, very durable and an awesome warranty. Really worth the extra few bucks trust me!
