Default Dynamite Big Red .28

I want to get a new engine for my Savage X at some point and I have been considering the Dynamite Big Red for a while, does anybody have any experience with them or run them? Can I still run my 16/47 gearing on it? I heard that the size of the backplate limits the gearing you can run some way.
Thanks for the info!!

You may want to ask this question on the monster truck forum, better chance of getting somone who has tried that engine in a Savage x who could answer your question on the gearing.

im in the middle of breaking in a new axial .28 rr MK2 i got for a stealll so cheap . i have to say it is a powerfull motor , have not fully given it a thrashing yet but so far its great. maybe look into them . iv put a GRP carb on mine straight away just because i hate 3 jet carbs . a good 2 jet made my old axial wake up and be way more snappy so straight away i put one on this. alot of people look down at the axial motors , but i have never had a problem , good bang for buck
