Put a new plug in the thing.. FYI, try to keep the engine together, there is no need to open it up to clean anything unless your replacing bearings.

Did you prime the fuel line?

K-Line,

I personally own 2 427's and a "Big Red" (same motor, little bit different sleeve set up). They are great engines and provide good power with great reliability. They also hold a tune well and aren't too finicky. Almost all Dynamite motors are bargain HP motors. The only thing is if you toast one, it is pretty much a done deal cause the replacement parts will put you up close to the same price as a new motor. But, keep rockin the Mach 427.

If you removed the head button (appropriate term here) I can only imagine why. But, upon re-assembly, it will not fire, then there can be a few things that are wrong. First, check the obvious - fuel getting to carb, the glow plug and igniter you are using are actually glowing the plug, and hopefully you haven't messed with anything else, like needle settings or anything. It could be possible that you failed to install the head shims upon re-assembly - who knows.

One can ask a lot of questions, but you should tell us 1) Why you removed the head button 2) How much wear does this engine have? 3) Is this engine properly sealed from the get-go 4) What nitro % and glow plug you are running?

I ran the McCoy MC59 in mine almost all the time - was a very versatile plug.

Then engine has about a 1 1/2 gallon through it and is still in good shape and has good compression. I run 20% with a hot plug and it has run perfect. For now I will just get a new plug and go from there.
