Default Check this engine out!?

Anyone try one out, it looks a lil to good to be true. Comes with plug, pipe, engine, fancy case, fuel cooler and engine for 230 and its turbo plug!
If you have had one let me know what you think and how long it lasted?

A guy I race with has the Blue headed version, he paid around $150 for it, but got 2nd hand but new.. It works pretty well in buggy, but I don't think it has the grunt for truck..

The pipe looks pretty beefy too.. Like it won't dent easily.. That is always a good thing..

If you had looked at the crank and internals, you wouldn't say that. I run a MG66 and it certainly isn't a rebadged Go either.

It is a GO. Not sure what else you want me to say. If you like GO's, go for it(no pun intended). If not I would look elsewhere. I've seen their internals. All go with some bad mod work. If I remember correctly the one you're looking at is their stock version... In other words all GO.

I've seen them run. A buddy of mine ran for them briefly(very briefly) and they ran pretty much like any GO I've seen.

Anyways, I wouldn't say their bad engines. They're just very GO.

let's just say that it was made in the same factory.... a Quote..

"The New MG66 .21 Race Engine By MassiveMods has taken the RC World by surprise! For years MassiveMods has been custom modifying engines and has built its reputation on absolute quality of workmanship. It was the beginning of 2008 that Mark De Berard decided he wanted to have a production modified engine. Already being appointed development manager of Go Engine Taiwan he knew where he wanted it to be made.
The MG66 is the culmination of a lot of thought into driveability and economy, great on tap power and oodles of top end. This engine indeed delivers this and more for only a fraction of the price of the more expensive units on the market. For about $339 USD you get the engine , a spare rod and rear bearing and a carb restrictor kit. The engine has hit the USA and is in testing with the US Go Engine Distributor, reports so far are a big thumbs up ! Along with the launching of MassiveMods A Main fuel should be a big year for Mr Massive!
For enquiries of avalability of the engine please contact MassiveMods Australia."

Pretty much all GO based engines run well. They don't break any fuel mileage records and they are kinda hit or miss lifespan wise. I've seen them last over 10 gallons and I've also seen them blow up after 1. For everything included in that package, I would say it is a pretty good deal.
