I race like every weekend nitro 1/8 buggy and 2wd electric gotta keep them fresh. The travel and hotel rooms and all that are what make it expensive.

It's easy to spend when your racing every weekend with Mazzara. The man doesn't stop. He's a Rc general...amongst Rc soldiers...

that's why i dont keep track of my spendings, i race 4 classes (1/8buggy, truggy, 1/10 nitro and electric) and have few 1/18s, 1/8 onroad too and i fly RC too (all P-51s)
and i never sell my old stuff because i have a weird relation with each kit/engine i have ..

Amainhobbies thinks am a shop owner here in Kuwait

so i aint telling how much i spend, i dont want my wife to bust me if she reads the thread

cheers
Ali
I don't race truggy cause i wouldn't be able to do it like i want. I don't think i could keep up with a nitro season on 2 cars. I would just burn out.....

Your a true rc soldier ali !

Your my dealer Monty. I go to you for my fix..... Next stage is admitting you have a problem. Mine, I'm not Pro yet...... but I'm working on it.

If we are counting donations.......Dang, .......... Not gonna add that one up. Susan and I contribute quite a bit to our local track. Not just in money, but time also. That actually makes me feel good (warm and fuzzy) about what we do.

We all know this is not a poor mans sport, so what do you all do for a living to support your RC hobby? I'm a software engineer during the day and run a small online motorcycle parts store at night. What does everyone else do?

I'm a mechanical engineer. I used to work for Dodge Motorsports and did real racing for a while, now I'm working for a local company in CA.

I don't count the $$ I spend, I figure there are waaay worse things I could spend my money on than RC racing. I run 1/8 nitro and love it. Started this season with a D8, just bought an MBX6 and then I just bought an MBX6T too. Figured why race just buggy when you can race truggy too and spend 2X as much! I love this sport/hobby/addiction
