Exclamation RPM question

I have a couple of questions about my rpm. I am Running at like 8000 or something. I do not know if that is right. How many rpms should i be running?

And also how would i go by increasing my rpms?

How do you even know how many RPM's you're turning? 8,000 rpm is a fast IDLE on our two strokes.

can you explain more what do you mean!!! how do you know that you are running at 8000RPM??

i've been running nitro for quiet long time and never asked myself how many rpm my motor is spinning?? your best indicator for nitro engine is smoke, performance and temp.

And is that what it indicates for rpm at idle? It should read a LOT more on the throttle unless you are running a four stroke.

if you want my 2 cents, go to your local track and ask an expert to check your engine's tune and tune it if needed. its easier to do it than explain how to do it

cheers
