Found the thread about it. You might need to add a few more tanks to it for todays super tight motors.

That's exactly what I thought when I first saw it. I still wont use it under normal circumstances but there are people that swear by it and I HAD to use it once.
It was a big 1/8th onroad race. I was running a new, somewhat experimental motor I had got a few weeks before and it was GREAT all through practice. Unfortunately in the last practice, just before qualifying it suffered a catastrophic piston failure (a nice, almost perfectly square hole right in the middle of the piston). A rep from my motor sponsor gave me a brand new P/S/rod assembly and I had to rebuild the motor right there on the bench and get it broken in for the first qualifier.
Having only a couple of hours, I did the WOT break-in and a quick tune during warm-up. Motor ran great the rest of the week.
Like I said, I still wouldn't do it under normal circumstances but if you just HAVE to get it done, go for it. It works for a lot of people.

in that amount of time. It's going to take you that
long to figure out the tune on that GO engine. If
you couldn't find a tune on a Clocked JL, well good
luck with that GO engine. It takes over a gallon of
fuel to break the tight inital pinch on the GO engine.
Hammer it any sooner and you will waste a con rod
fast. But, if you can afford a $100 dollar a gallon
engine, go for it.

There is no way your going to be able to properly

My opinion the faster u break in ur engine is killin the life. If its worth the engine not lasting long then break it in as fast as possible, many people have diffrent methods but none can be completed in 3 hours. Some might say yeah you can but 3 hours then runing it like you would after a gollon or more threw it the engine will not last long at all.

I have used Cyrul method many times... as well as a few race buddies... My current speed was broke in using Heat cycle method. Guess I will see in a few months which I prefer... All of my speeds have lasted 7 - 8 gallons.. rebuild p/r/s bearings, and get another 5 gal before crank wears out..
