"PERFECT MATCH: Fit perfectly on Veggoplast rims due to exclusive internal pattern"

no wheels in stock?

Jaz240 08-11-2010 11:39 PM

Yea I noticed that also. Do they completely suck if you don't use their wheels?

triplesix 08-11-2010 11:44 PM

What seems strange to me is, their surface is even. I can't see any grooves which fit in the tires inner "pattern" and help to stabilize them... :weird:

They have wheels in stock:

Ok just to start I'm NOT bashing this product for all you sensitive people out there.

However, I feel like these are going to be like riding on air bags? I understand the concept behind them but doesn't it seem like there is going to be a lack of side wall support??

I feel like a foam will provide better support as it has more of a dynamic fit to it. By that I mean it will cover the entire space between the tire and the rim more efficiently which will in turn provide more traction. Follow me?

If someone has any insight please let me know!

I can see where you're coming from... however, you can't knock them until you've tried them. I hope a company in this economy wouldn't introduce a product that could compete or out preform with the current "regulars"

Jaz240 08-12-2010 10:19 PM

I would venture to say that I don't think any company would be stupid enough to invest all kinds if money and research and then release a product that does not work properly. That would kill the whole company rather quickly.

I plan to try a set, just to try a set. They remind me of the Moose inserts that came out quite a few years back for Motocross. Everyone said they will not work properly and suck....until they tried em. They were pretty nice depending on where you were riding, temps...etc etc etc You couldn't adjust air pressure in them since it was basically a hard foam insert instead of a tube....but they worked really really well. They just sucked to mount ;-)

So I want to try these just for the heck of it. They look promising, and if they can minimize ballooning, we'll all gain a little traction right there.
