ok ? thats not true 2 rubber bands, will close the carb if there is a power loss.
i use 2 of them on my carb.

You should be just fine with one rubber band doubled up. The engine vibration along with the the tension of the rubber band will pull the carb slide closed, even if it doesn't with the engine off.
