I am another werks fan! There is more and more of them at the track and everyone loves them. Novas are great motors as well so you can't go wrong with either of them. I have been told that novas are a little harder to tune but not sure if that is true or not. I know the werks motors are a snap to breakin and tune even for a newbie.

both are good choices..I am leaning towards the werks line for my upcoming engines but the P5 is a classic powerhouse and though it's a little more expensive it's not a bad engine at all. I am so interested in the works because they seem to have hit a homerun with the B5(powerhouse) and the b6(smooth and fast). I guess currently I'd pick the b6 but nova is a great engine to neither will disappoint

Cool B5/B6

All I can say guys, is I've run a lot of motors, (RB, Novarossi/Top/Rex, OS, JP) in my many years of racing on-road & off-road. I must say the Werks B5/B6 engines are the best money can buy! Customer Service is second to non!! Ron goes above an beyond the call of duty with customer support!

ohio state race

you forgot adam drake (buggy-plus 4) jesse Robbers (truggy-os worlds)
Kevin Wilson (plus 4) Mo Denton (werks B6) Dakotah Phend (Nitrotec)
Curt S (os something) Jason Hudson (dynamite)

I am sure there are reasons for all of them flaming out but they have all won more races than they have had flame outs, its not the engine its the tuner.
the nova stuff is good the werks stuff is good, I have run both its all in what you like or to me its all about the price..

Fixed it...for you. Looks like you don't have all the facts.

Thought we were comparing a p5xlt to a B6 ?

we all know all engines flame and lots a stuff can happen. But it's just way more consistant with some brands.

I've run a bunch of motors (none werks). In the truggy the p5 will be the only motor I buy from now on and I just put a modded plus 4 (too fast) in my buggy and I must say again, the only motor I will buy from now on for that class.

Novarossi motors run strong. The p5 has been through a few gallons and I have not had one DNF due to motor issues, its a real relief to go anywhere and not worry about the motor at all and focus on setup.

Your choice, but if it was me I would not even think twice and go with the nova. Good luck with whatever motor you go with.
