i just did it on a cobalt drill bit u can get one on a snap-on or mac but it will cost u as much as buying a lighten gear.

I have find one on Mcmaster for 14$ 4mm(solid carbide bit) should do the job..

I tried it for fun and wasted 3 different drill bits from Home Depot. One of the bits did go through, but then it was dead. At $3 each hole (1 bit per hole), it is better to just buy a lightened one if they are available.

Check with Tonys Screws, he has the light weight Mugen spur gears for 35$ and some change on his website.
