To me it sounds like you just want confirmation that the d8 is the way to go and have probably already made up your mind unless someone can make a good enough argument to sway your opinion. I say go for it, grab one, have fun and if you don't like it, you can sell it and get something else. The only one who will know if you'll like it is YOU. If you can drive one locally then of course try to do that before spending the money but otherwise i see no reason why you shouldn't buy one if thats what you have your heart set on.

I like my losi's and find them to suit me just fine. I'm not much of a racer, its something i'd like to get into but its kinda hard where i live as the tracks are few and far between. I have to travel over an hour to get to the closest track and even then they only race certain types of vehicles. So i chose my vehicles based on the racing classes available around here.

Talking Mugen Arms

Do mugen arms really break?

Hmmm.

I suppose that depends on what you run into..

Well, I have owned all the Mugens from the Super Athelete to the MBX6 and

I will say this.

The Super Ahteletes suspension arm supports would break if you sneezed.

The MBX-4, I couldn't break if I tried.
The MBX-5, I am still running and I don't have a problem.
The MBX-6? Now I have friends that have had problems with them depending
upon what time of year it is.

I like my Mugens thought I hear Serpent is the up and coming car to have.

What about the gas tanks on refueling? I have seen quite a few after pit stops consistently flaming out.

there are alot of those with mugens! but i know it sounds stupid but i pit for a guy that runs with a mugen and right before i drop it, i give the buggy a few hard shakes and drop it, zero flame outs we got the pits dialed haha, well now everyone knows my secret but he was breaking arms left and right and the updated arms is making it a few races before needing replacing.

But if your just a basher I wouldnt reccomend it as its sole duty is race only. It comes rtr with a pro mod SH motor that gets better runtimes and power than my old junky os speed!
Hilarious!

You do know that GS is an Asian brand correct? Nothing Italian about it.

Bro if you're gonna try it, you should at least get your facts straight... The CLX is the latest GS, and it's been public forever now. Well over a year.

I sure hope this guy is just intentionally having a laugh with us... But if he's serious...

The best bang for the buck car right now.

O'donnell Z01b Team 2-in-1 kit is now only 299.97 at tower hobbies since the release of the SG.
