No actually not at all what you said.

1/8 onroad guys DO NOT drop down to 16% because they want less power. They do it to get fuel mileage. Same thing applies in offroad. Maybe not quite as significant of a difference, but running lower nitro content does provide more run time. I can't imagine ever needing more power than I have now. Also haven't had a flame out during a race in a long time, and never have temp issues. I get to pit at 10 minutes without a worry. So I'll stick with my "low" nitro content Odonnell 20%.
