$900 kyosho?
I was on A Main tonight and saw that they are listing the new Kyosho buggy for $900.
This is absolutely insane to me! Not even the Durango 408 will be that much...what is this hobby coming too?
I mean we are talking about a toy car. You can buy a regular car, albeit a crappy one, for that price and still have cash for a #1 combo at The Golden Arches. Unbelievable!!!

I got this off Neo-Buggy so I am sure that is just the Retail Price, even the retail price of a Hyper 9 is $850 on the box. But you can pre-order so who knows. If the car is $899 shame on them.
In the two years since it made its mark at the 2008 World Championship, the prototype MP9 Kyosho International has forged the cutting edge of performance technology with the latest version 2. Tested and proven at numerous international racing events, design upgrades have evolved multiple areas of the chassis platform to a new level. However perhaps the greatest innovation has been the dramatic reduction in cost, despite the significant upgrades and performance improvements. The chassis design focus is on efficient traction and is realized through short suspension arms and unique rear hubs that produce effective traction with light suspension stroke.

The quality of Kyosho is like no other, this buggy will have every bell and whistle, new body etc. Also 7 World Champion winners, and the parts aren't cheapo China. I haven't broken a part or worn out an arm in 10 races, I replace them just because they are 10 races old. I love my MP9s but it is a little steep in price for the new kit, they will sell them just like with the original TKI being $800 or so. I'd rather spend $800 on a new buggy that will last and consistently perform than $450 on a decent ok brand that constantly breaks, and requires hours of maintenance each week.

Yes, some people will run it regardless of price. That is one brand of car I've never owned ( and I've owned a lot) and it's not the price that turns me away, it's the constant upgrades 2 months after a car is released. SP1, SP2, SP3, Worlds conversion, FS, SP...............is it hard to come out with a car that's right from the start?
If the quality is there ( and some swear by it ), is price really an issue then?
