Kyosho has already posted that the car will be cheaper than the original MP9 TKI in the press release. Im sure it will be closer to $650 when it is actually released.

This is just my guess, but those seem to be two cars that attracted a following based on their more modest pricing and reputation for working well. Curious though that few people seem to sing the praises of the RC8 in spite of its competitive price.

Wouldn't it be a h00t if someone wheeling a Hot Bodies won the IFMAR WC again?

ACTUALLY you are incorrect. We amongst others received "the cost" and its much higher than that. It is a shame for the all the shops because if your looking at it from a business stand point.. you have the Kyosho which costs a lot and practically zero margin then you have other kits that u can have 2 for the price of 1 kyosho with a higher margin. For all shops it wouldn't be cost effective to carry a kit like this.. just my .02

The thing that makes me mad is, when new people come by the track and ask "hey, how much was that car you have"? And some guy says it was $1000!!!! You just scared off another newbie to the hobby.....I'm just saying ,keep the prices low so that our hobby can grow....

All you kyoho supporters thnk your car is better than everyone else becasue it cost more..Anyne one of us on this forum could afford to by one but its not worth it...Get off your high horse...Shame on you Kyosho..

as others stated, this is an open forum, so we can say what we want, and disagree with our dollar

"Low Price: $899"

Nothing low about that unless it's made out of talent.

i got excited when i read the press realese on redrc. thought to myself hey since they are saying "a dramatic reduction in price", maybe i will give kyosho a try. this buggy is out of reach for the normal hobbyist and seems like some sponsored drivers also. to be honest, ive never even seen a kyosho product show up to race at my club, onroad or offroad, now i know why. $900.00? you can keep it

I don't think my buggy is better than all the others because it cost more, it's because the buggy is reliable, high quality, consistent, built proof drivetrain, I could go on.

I spread Kyosho propaganda!

There's a lot of Kyosho guys around here, but they are all either sponsored or partially sponsored and get stuff either free or heavily discounted. Very few unsponsored guys run Kyosho in these parts except in the 1/10th electric stuff that's had a be resurgence due to an indoor clay track opening up in the area.
