Default LiFe vs. NiMH pack run times

Does a 6.6v 1450 mAh LiFe pack has as much run time as a 6v 1600mAh NiMH? I am thinking about switching from a NiMH receiver pack to LiFE. I get about 45-60 minutes run time on the 1600 mAh NiMH.

Will I get more run time with a 1450 mAh LiFe pack?

I get 75 minutes out of my 1350mah LiFe pack. The main improvement is the stable voltage of these packs (even under heavy loads) throughout most of the packs charge. The NiMH packs have a fairly linear dropoff under use.

And the 3C charge rates are nice too!

I rewatched the game recently, and he certainly came of age in the second half. We probably still would have won with Colt in, but now you guys have somebody you can feel optimistic about.

Had to throw in the "we prbably wouldl have won with Colt in..". Were you watching the same game I did when Colt was in the game? Score was about to be 13-0 Texas in the first quarter before the hit.

Oh well. Shoulda,coulda,woulda......we still lost.

Go life packs for sure, i run a whole race day, without charging the my life pack at all, and it probably only takes 1000mah to top it up again, works out over an hours worth of use. I managed to run the pack flat in my wifes truggy the other day, not sure how long we ran it for but we had but over a litre through the engine before it went flat, but run time also depends on the servos you are using.

Cheers

i have a 1450 life pack and a 1500 muchmore nimh.

with a sr3000 reciver futaba servos i get 68:32 mins of constant driving on track with the nimh. 67:55 on a life pack.

only better thing is the life pack charges faster.

Life packs are very good. They are light and efficient. I charge my batteries before I get to the track and they lasts all day!
