This is for a mugen mbx6t. Im not sure I want to get any more OS stuff because the vspec just doesnt seem to last too long. I have never used the werks or nova motors, and am wondering at how the nova listed would work in the truck? I have heard good things about the werks b5 in truck.
Thanks!!
I don't know how old or how much fuel has been put thru your mill but iv been running a jx ninja for the past year and been finding out that the v spec & the jx ninja don,t need allot of compression to run like most other engines they will run with no compression how i don't know but they will. they do seem to do real good if you pinch it and not very tight.

What i have heard from a reputable motor builder on OSs is that the piston will wear out alot faster than the sleeve because of the chrome content of the sleeve. I just bought a wore out speed with plans to ship the piston and sleeve to a guy "not sure of his name" that takes the piston and makes a replica out of the piston for that sleeve out of a higher silica content piston. Best bud has had this done for his v-specs and is amazed as to how much more life he gets out of them. And it is fairly reasonable priced to have it done. Alot cheaper than buying a new p/s. Not only that, it changes the sound of the engine a bit , makes people wonder. Also, it helps with any motor to flush out the fuel with air tool oil thru the carb after a weekend of racing, and always keep the piston at the bottom after every race.

put aside os's bearing issues that is

also if you don't want to go with os any more i know from personal xp that the axe mamba is a hell of power house motor with a lot power thru out the whole power band.

thanks for all the replies fellas. I decided to go with the werks b5.
I tore my os down and the wrist pin clip is missing and the piston is pitted all to hell and the sleeve is scored in multiple spots, thus causing my loss of compression. so long story short..... vspec went BOOM!!!!

B5...I drove a Speed one time and it didn't have enough power for me. You can't beat the power, run-time, and durability of a B5/2013. If you want your motor to last even longer and get even better run-time than it already does, I recommend the Werks fuel as well.
