Default Might be there for that race

I'm not sure I gotta check the schedules but I'm thinking about coming down for that race. I think some scenes of people frantically working on cars in the pits would be good as well as the race. Now that the track is enlarged it will be even better. The guy that runs Vertigo Derrick is the marshall that caught the trug at the beginning of the vid.

If you want more Big Air from the River Track check out these additional vids from that same weekend.

All of those are on the tube as well.

The best thing about that quad is that it loves truggies and if you hit it just right and nail the trigger you can do a whole back flip and land on all fours!

Default You'd like my gate then

You'll have to stop by Rat Raceway in Denver and launch of the gate I did for them. Its electronic all on a gate array about the size of 2 packs of cigs. This one will drop the cars at 1 3 5 seconds or all at once. They use the delayed for quals and the all drop for the mains. They are easy to do electronics wise if you can get someone to weld up the metal parts. The one at the River Track uses a big pneumatic thing to lower all of them at once. The one I did uses solenoids and the cars weight to drop the gates. That way you can have separate launches if you want. Any single board computer with enough digital outputs will work. Cost from 100-200 bucks. Programmed in basic or C or by using ladder logic depending on what board you get. Took me all of one afternoon to figure out the ladder logic. It came with a software simulator. Make it work in the sim and it works on the real box. I never saw the box. I did it all remotely using the simulator. We were on the phone as they downloaded the next version to test. Tweaked on the timing a bit but for the most part it worked first time out.

Default Heading out for more footage

I'm going to a really nice private track in S. Austin to get some footage today. Wanted to do some syncronized split screen with a go camera and my footage but the go is stuck in Cali I'll think of something else to try out I guess. There will be buggys trugs and corr trucks today. Just a fun time with a little food and fun. Check back in a few days for the video.
