Default Electric conversion for MT2

I know this is the nitro forum but i figure that this group would be the most familiar with my hpi mt2 18ss. this thing has never run as a nitro car and something was always going wrong. I would hate to give it up cause it was my first rc car and i built it because it was a kit. I do only electric now since im in college and i got to thinking..... why not convert it to electric? i am thinking about getting a fuze brushless 5800kv cause its in my price range..... i know i will have to get a traxxas pinion to fit the motor and spur which is no big deal. any more suggestions???????
