220 sounds right or 230, i wouldnt go any higher than that.

as for getting parts for the, old rb you have maybe the rb s5 engine parts will fit not sure.

If your engine runs good at 180, leave it. If your engine runs good at 280, leave it. There are to many variables for you to tune at a specific temperature. As long it is under 300 degrees your not going to get any premature engine damage.
