A properly done TIG or Gas weld would be stronger than the case
itself. Welding Aluminum requires a preheat and postheating cycle.
Not really cost effective though since it would cost more to pay
someone with the necessary skill than to buy another case.

Your better off just buying a new case and getting it over with,This is why i sometimes like the electric side of things
