it would be much better if they were lightened as on standard HB lightened couplers i use bearing outer ring to hold the pin (0 cost as it is from old bearings and works great) and on stub axles I use thick shrink tubing as the weight savings are quite high.

however I like my tekno buggy chassis

Tekno has been on a great game as of late, releasing alot of great
products. Glad to see them producing parts for us Hot Bodies guru's.

Default Motor Mount?

Any chance of an extended motor mount for the D8/D8T is in the works and coming out soon?

Yeah, I have been looking for one as I run a BCE 3mm chassis.

I think it would be hard to make an extended mount due to the design of the motor mount for the D8T. I was able to pick up one from Ace, but I don't think he's making parts anymore. I also run the BCE D8T chassis, but do not have the flex problems. I think you are on the right track to resolve it, but not sure who would be making it.

I don't think I would like a 3mm truggy chassis. Flex is good but not to much. I don't know if the Fioroni Mugen mount would work or not. They sure look close.

Any idea when the D8 112mm rear tower will be back in stock?

Alexaj46 the TKR20033 shock tower is the rear tower for the D8T and the body mounts bolt to the holes in the middle of the tower on the outside.
All the other oddly placed holes are for the Tekno wing mount or the Losi wing mount.

Sorry, but the Tekno Team is out of town at the ROAR race and will not be able to answer your question until after the weekend sometime. I would suggest sending Tekno an e-mail (from their website) and they will get back to you ASAP.
