Diving in to the Truggy World
New to the truggy world. Looking to buy for competitions. Where should I focus my research. (Note I did not ask which one to buy?) So far it appears that i will be compairing the MBX6T, OD Z01, RC8T.
Looking for HONEST opinions (I like this about....., I hate that about...., Look out for....)
Will definately be purchasing RC Drivers Buggy and Truggy for general info.
Are there any other "Heavy Hitters" that I should consider?
Thanks in advance.

I had the Mugen. LOVED it. Broke A Arm's left and right. Parts are scarce depending on where you are at. EASILY one of the best truggy's out. VERY VERY VERY VERY fast. Very neautral handling. Goes where you point the wheels. Doesnt get out of shape.
RC8-VERY VERY good truggy, parts are everywhere, great turning-i HEAR plastic's are very breakable on it... but dont know for sure. This was going to be my first choice for truggy, but got the Mugen for a great deal.
Losi-Parts are everywhere...wears out fast, but is very fast.
Odonnell-I hear the current platform is OK. The new SG that should be out in a few months is supposed to be supurb. Parts on the OD platform's are top notch.
XRAY-i have no idea... not too many people around here using em. I had an original XT8 that i hated....

Dont know much about truggys, but it seems like the top dogs are the ZO1T, Losi 8ight-T 2.0, RC8T, and MBX6T.
You can't really go wrong with any of these kits, but it seems like the 8ight-T 2.0 and the MBX6T are the lead dogs in quality and overall drivability.
Forgot about the D8T... For the money, it is worth a serious look!

The D8T is my first truggy. I've beat on it and the only thing i've broken is a front caster block. The front center driveshaft developed some play so I replaced it with the Mugen and havn't looked back since.
Had a CVD come apart last weekend so I pulled it apart and heat shrinked all the CVD's and now I don't have to worry so much about set screws holding it all together.
The radio tray is a little tight to get the wires routed but is still very servicable.
D8T is easy to work on and clean.
I really don't think any hop ups are must have's for this truggy, but other parts for tuning purposes will be needed just like any other kit.

this is by far the best deal out there. Oh, and it comes with a free Losi starter box

parts breaking is really all on how you drive the buggy or truggy. If you are out of shape and still try to make a jump and land crazy then ya you will break stuff when you could have just let off the gas and rolled it and went on. I think anymore all of the kits are pretty close together as far as the top ones go

Look at the d8t. ive had no problem keeping up with and beating the losi and associateds at my track. The only upgrade you need is the hot bodies servo horns. like 7 dollars.
Anotrher truck to look at the Mugen. mbx6t Very nice truck, very durable and very fast. They make good stuff.
