Default stalling problems

hey guys i have a friend who is struggling with his nitro buggy. i thought for sure it was an airleak, but there is no wet dirt spots around any parts of the carb or motor. he desribles his problems as this:

so i got a d8 and run a werks motor and when im racing it stalls out about 3-4 minutes into every race. idle is good maybe even alittle high going to the track to figure it out and wanna have a list of stuff to try. has new fuel tank, clutch shoes, springs and bearings.also checked to make sure the servo doesnt close the carb. any help will be apreciated.

what you guys think?

Tell him to check the clunk in the tank. It sounds like mine did when it fell off. I fought it all day long with it. I got home that night and dumped the rest of the gas out and the clunk came with it. And mine had a new fuel tank too.

Make sure the fuel line that is connected to the clunk is not to long. If it is it might me causing the clunk to get caught up in the middle of the tank. Did you notice if the engine is going lean before it quits?

Try to turn the idle screw in 1/4 to 1/2 and see how she goes.

First Check the rear bearing then i would say check the compression it could be lossing compression when it gets up tp temp u can idle it up about 2-3 hrs and see if that helps.

My B5 did the same thing 5 minutes into a 7 min quailifier and flamed out everytime, changed gaskets and springs and like magic work perfectly. When the engine does get up to temp will it idle? if not then maybe time for a new p/s or a pinch job, replace bearings with ceramic if you have to go in it.
