Not another 'What Buggy?' Thread...

Well, maybe it is.

I hate these sorts of posts, because I feel like I should be able to make an informed decision by reading as much as I can...

But I'm at a loss here. Without reading through thousands of posts, I feel I can go no further in my decision making.

I'm not a newbie, by any means. Been driving R/C cars since I can remember, from $20 Toys R Us cars to my brothers RC10, to my own GT2 Factory Kit 1-2 years ago - that now has a different owner :/

Anyway, here's my dilemma; I'm trying to find a 1/8th scale buggy that I can get into racing with. Money is basically no object, but I'd still like to save, if I can of course.

I had originally thought of getting an RTR Losi 8ight, but I've decided that I'd rather take the time and effort into building out a kit myself, so I know exactly how the whole thing fits together (even If I could rebuild an RTR, I'd like to do it from the ground up).

So here's where I'm at:

The Losi 8ight Kit
The Xray 808 Kit
or
The Mugen MBX6 Kit.

(Agama EVO was left off this list, even though it does look interesting to me, it's just too untested at this point, I feel)

I'd like to know what Kit you guys would recommend and why. I know a lot of you are going to post what you own, but I'd like to hear your reasonings behind your decision to get that specific one. Was it because of local parts? Styling? Word of mouth?

Also, to kill two birds with one stone, what replacement parts would you guys recommend for the buggy that you suggest. You know, since I'm going to end up breaking something :)

Thanks for your time guys, I really appreciate it.
