advice on new RC8T RS. Idle & Temp going crazy.
Hello everyone, My RC8T RS has what i believe is an air leak in its AE pro .28 engine. it idles at 250º and if you even look at the throttle funny it goes WOT.
I use Permatex Ultra copper to seal the base of the carb, backplate and fuel intake nipple. Any ideas?

i actually tried stock settings and low speed got better, but i still got some bad stuttering and high temps on idle. should the low speed and idle needles be sealed as well?

I only have Teflon tape at the moment. Will that do until i can buy some Green Slime?

I have that truck
I have the same truck and mine came with a faulty tank that was sucking air I hear it is quite common check for air bubbles in the lines. Also, IMO unless your a pro. DONT touch the MSN.
Also, check your idle gap so you don't over lean your LSN. I'm fairly new but I've learned this much so far. Hope it helps!
Oh, forgot to add this. My engine(same as yours) runs between 235 and 245 all the time. Your temp might go down as the piston and sleeve start to wear in, alot of pinch causes heat.
