I believe the button design on the V-spec is different than those use in Novas or other engines. While a different head button physically fits it may not work properly. The shimming from your turbo button may be different from your standard button. It's a lot safer to just buy turbo plugs than to risk losing an engine.

Uh. No they don't?
All VZ-B Vspec has the turbo plug as far as i know.

But, yes, if it fits, and has the right format, go for it.

my guess is it would run like crap. At least until you get the head shimming figured out. If you can figure it out, if you can even get it low enough. Might have to raise the whole cylinder.

I believe Odonnell used to make a standard head button for the v-spec. I don't know if they still do. Honestly, you don't want to go there. Turbo plugs are much better anyway. Just buy some P3's.

That would change timings and open another can of worms.

not always. i know the RB C6 turbo runs like crap and hard to hold a tune and if you put a standard button head on it, it will run like a champ!

Highspeed 3 out from bottom, lowspeed & mixture control, flush to the carb body, and ball link body, for breakin. (from the manual of my stock V-spec)

Last tune seams to have been 2 and 3/4 turns out on the highspeed, and half a turn in from flush on the lowspeed on the one I'm currently running. But i run a low nitro / high oil content fuel & the big venturi insert, nad the darn thing isn't fully broken in yet. Your probably going to be a bit leaner then that.
