Default what is a good substiture for air filter oil?

Or more specific, what kind of oil is air filter oil? can get it at a hardware/auto parts store. I am tired of paying for those stupid little bottles. And I don't want to pay through the nose to get a big jug of oil from a rc company and pay for shipping.

price yes. I oil filters 10 at a time and it usually takes a whole bottle of what i can get at the lhs. That usually last me a whole day at the track and i like to change filters just about every tank. I just want a cheeper alternative. It's like buying a syringe of mobil 1 from gmk for 6 bucks or get a big a$$ tube that will last a life time for the same price.

pj 1 foam filter spray . Comes in an aerosol can & last for ever . I only used 2 cans in 1 season racing my buggy & truggy plus my sons buggy . You can get it at most any motorcycle shop for about 8 bucks .

I have some of this.... but have been very hesitant on using it. Sure it works great for full size, but hows its compatibility with nitro ?

it keeps dirt on your air filter, and not in your engine?

What I mean by combatibility is.....

As air enters through the carb. It breathes through the filter and particles/vapors enter the engine. What effects does this have on the metals ? What effect does this have on the nitro fuel has it mixes through the crank.

Sure this may sound like nothing big, but are there any LONG term affects ?
