RC8 is the old one and its not that good but the RC8B is really nice, drives pretty good too but it feels a little weird to me, but thats driver preference.

Guess winning the 2008 ifmar worlds doesn't qualify a car as a pro level kit? Hara's d8 had some lightweight upgrades and prototype shocks/towers at the time, but those items are available to everyone at this point. It's not *exactly* the same car that won, but the car is dialed even without every single hop-up that hara had on his car at the time. At $300, even if you got the rear shock/tower setup hara had, it would be less than $450.

I personally don't lighten mine either -- mainly because I don't feel it is holding me back (that is to say I'm not good enough that it makes a difference yet), but secondarily because my nitro and electric d8 are very close in weight, and that really helps when driving them back to back in club racing. My electric d8 has a few lightweight parts, and I picked a very light lipo, motor, and don't use the electric-clutch and mechanical brake, so even though the electrics are generally heavier, mine are pretty close (like within 2 oz when dry).

I do, however, run 101 mm shocks by running the shafts unscrewed a little and would probably prefer the 112 mm shock rear end.

Its funny how the HYPER 9 makes the mains but no one gives them a look. At first the car had growing pains.. but no different then any other new gen car but since the revisions the car is pretty sweet.

I vote HYPER
