Default bang for buck?

Hi guys ..i have been out of rc for about 5 years and am looking to get back into racing.I have owned many cars(elec+nirto) in years gone by and just want to get back into truggy racing.Though i am not a novice i would appreciate some good pointers as to what setups people have started with lately and had good results. I dont want to hear any RTR suggestions as i have been there ..done that.

cheers for any replies
