I guess I am not alone, my boy is 8 and has shown some interest running in the back yard and wrenching with me but afraid of the big boys on the stand. I would love for him to show the same interest on this as he has on fishing, he is a good reeler!!!!.

Default daughter

My 6 yo daughter races and has done so for over a year. She runs a T4 in novice class. She hasn't taken it to seriously until the last couple months. She goes to hang out with the other kids and has a blast!

Well my son is only 6, not old enough to race but sure does love to take his "New Bright" wal-mart special and bash around the yard with me with my buggy. He just gets a lil disappointed when his battery goes dead and im just re-filling and keep on going

Maybe when he gets old enough one day I will get him something like a short course truck, which I recommend you getting your kids for starters as well.

6 is a good age. Get him a slash put it in training mode. There was a 7 year old out at the track and he was picking it up pretty quick. He started the day of looking at the wrong car while his was off the track wot going crazy haha. Then he started to do pretty good by the main.

I'm 17 now and have been racing since around 7 and I can't get enough of racing.

Went from oval to onroad then finally got into 1/8 buggy and now I'm finally getting into the Pro class and I wouldn't trade the time with my dad and the entertainment for anything.

My son is 10 and he is not racing yet but just getting started. I got him a nitro rustler and he has a lot of fun driving it.

i don't have kids(only 18). but my little brother(12) races when he vistors. i took him to a race one day and let him drive one of my cars. he loved it. we then invested in a hyper 7 RTR. he raced this once and started driving one of my cars. now he drives a D8T or a D8 which ever and he is good. let hime drive my D8T and he won the whole day. not bad for 5 races under hi belt.

let them drive your car in a race and see how it goes.

My oldest Son Is in the Navy Now he was my racing buddy for years. My youngest has a great time but kinda all over. They get mad if they Know i go without them. You got to play with them when they want to play with you... earlier the better If they can hold the radio they are old enough....What ever it is you Do TOGETHER..It only last for a short time..I LOVE YOU DADDY IS ALL I NEED TO HEAR...

I wish my dad had got me into this stuff ten years ago. Even now, he's only come to one of my races. Give me 15 years and I may have some kids that are into racing.
